Yeah lucas was a great main character in season 1. You really felt for him and the whole SL with dan and nathan was just such good premise for the show. Too bad they didnt extend on that.

I think they found their stride near the end of season 2/season 3 when it came to balancing the genuine moments and "omg" moments with the drama. Season 1 was a little more simplistic in that regard, but all the seasons of the show feel so different from the others to me.

I too liked NH in season 2/season 3. That was definitely their best season for me because I really liked the angst. When Haley shows up at his door, and his face, that was one of my favorite scenes. Early season 3 was so good for them. I was annoyed when by episode like 7 they were already back together. I wanted Nathan to be angry for longer. I wanted the annulment to actually go through. Then they could started to get back on track maybe in season 4.

Nathan and Haley have a baby in S4 was the biggest mistake of the show, imo. I get they wanted the cliffhanger in S3, but come on - they were still in high school. I wish they could have had more time on their own, as a couple, as individuals. S1-3 balanced that so well and then they became the boring couple.

I love in 301 when Haley jumps on top of him and kisses him in bed, but he's so hurt and he's not ready. It's such an emotional scene. They have so many great moments in the beginning of S3. Small moments, but meaningful. And I love 309 and 313 Nathan was so sexy to me when he was angry and sad S2 Nathan was such a mess and I loved seeing him hurt for Haley...it sounds odd, but it worked really well. It really showed how deep their love was.

Yeah I think the ending of S2/early S3 had a really good balance. The S2 finale is the perfect example of OTH at it's best, the two-parter finale. We had the Dan fire, but there were so many emotional/romantic cliffhangers too.

And I agree, I hated how we moved away from the family dynamic of Lucas/Nathan/Keith/Dan/Deb/Karen. That made the show different. It was so intricate. I HATE how crazy they made Deb...she used to be such a good character.

Oh and I loved Andy! I was sad when he left, even though I did love Keith/Karen of course.

yeah the baby storyline was so bad. and having a kid in highschool, really? its bad enough they got married in highschool.

I loved Andy too!

I watched 703 (DONT READ YET COURT LOL)

In general kind of a blah episode. But I do feel like the end picked up.

Parts of it were so boring, they reminded me of season 6. IE. The Mouth/Skills scenes and the Dan/Rachel stuff. ZZZ. The show really fails when they show the same characters in the same scenes in multiple episodes.

Alex is my favorite, she is so hilarious and fun. She brings a good energy to the show. Her interactions with Brooke and Millie were funny. The Julian/Alex stuff was interesting too I loved his smile to her.

I did actually enjoy the Nathan/Mouth scene though, its always nice to see unexpected characters together. It would have been nice to see Mouth be a bad guy for once though and actually report the story, it would have caused good drama.

Haley yelling at Clay for throwing parties and encouraging Nathan was pretty cool. GO HALEY!

The trio scene was really cute. It was a nice genuine moment between the girls.

CLay/Quinn are so cute. I loved their scene at the bar.

I think Clay/Quinn were the only thing that saved me in Season 7

I never liked that they got married. Yes it was a shock and it heightened their relationship, but what in the world!!!

No worries Court, take your time.

I only watch 1 a week as of now, so until you catch up I can just stay at that pace. And if you ever decide not to keep watching just let me know, no hard feelings.

The marriage thing was pretty bad. Mostly because there was no consequences. Like it was a shock, then they have their wedding party in 202 and you would think eventually they would figure out it wasnt all peaches and roses. Which, it wasn't, but I was hoping they would actually break up in season 3.

Not to mention that season 1 Nathan would NEVER have gotten married. I mean, he just didnt seem the type to me.

But i think Nathan feeling like he didnt get a lot of love/attention from his family and then seeing how kind Haley was and how she treated him I feel like it was a way for him to rebel against his parents and make his own family with her.

That's what I think it was He hated his family at that time and it must have felt like Haley was the only one that truly there for him. And I think Haley was one of the first people, if not the first, to see him as someone other than a basketball player.

But still, you don't just go and get married! Especially when they had been dating for 6 months or less. Again, this timeline really tests my limits sometimes

it all makes sense until season 4 when haley gets pregnant in like january/february and then has the baby in june

i mean we know the shooting was december based on the graves. and they had sex in october for the first time (that was episode 11 so I'm guessing around november/october). assuming the finale is around january or at EARLIEST december, how in the world can she have a baby during graduation? HOW. its not even possible based on when they conceved!

so 311 had to be early october, haley was pregnant most of season 3, (which is dumb because she would have known) and then she had to be at least 2 months by the finale assuming it was still december at that time.

then season 4 had to be january-june... her graduating near the end or mid june. still stupid.

Ugh, I can't even think about this too much! It's crazy.

I just get annoyed, and we touched on this yesterday, with how fast feelings change in the show. How Lucas could fall in love with Peyton, then Brooke, and then Peyton again in the span of just over a year. It's just not believable to me.

And NH getting married after 6 months isn't believable either

yeah its pretty lame. season 1 should have been their sophomore year and then season 4 they should have gone to college realistically. or season 4 even could have been over the summer or something if they didnt want to do college stuff. but i think they could have done a half a season on that before jumping ahead.

It took me awhile to even realize the seasons were set up as half years...I never understood the timeline Because the beginning of S2 really does feel summer. And then I would be confused as to why they weren't playing basketball in S2 at all..but I got it eventually.

yeah not having basketball was a mistake though.

and s2 did feel like summer!

at the same time i like it because a lot happened so it wouldnt make sene for some episodes to drag out to a full year.

plus i can pretend the season 2 mess where LP werent friends was really only a few months.

Did you give up already Courtney? it's okay if you did, but let me know.

I watched 704, I enjoyed it. I dont remember a lot of these episodes so its kind of fun rewatching.

I may watch 2 more this week but I'm not sure how fast I want to go just yet.

I thought during its time, OTH was the best drama. They did great character building/development to me though.
