I think the only character tv death they didn't have to think over too much was when they killed Charlie Sheen on Two and Half Men.

I remember when he used to talk about needing to kill Marissa because she had "tragedy written in her DNA." She was always going to be a tragic figure supposedly. I wasn't the biggest fan of her character but it certainly was a shock when she went.

Though I think they dealt with it quite well in S4, which ended up being a lot better than S3 for me.

I agree, it always seems like there was for-shadowing, that her character would always fall on hard times but I didn't expect them to kill her.
