Seth was my favorite the first time I watched (and I still think he great in season 1 and 2) but I hated what they turned him into.
Upon my second rewatch Ryan became my favorite. I also really like Marissa even though I know that's an unpopular opinion. I always liked Summer, until season 4. I wasn't a fan of what they did to her there. I loved Taylor in season 3 but in season 4 she slightly annoyed me. |

I was a huge Seth and Seth/Summer fan when I first watched. I didn't watch every ep though because it aired on TV and sometimes I wasn't home. S3 aired really late on a weekday and I was too tired to watch because of school and was starting to lose interest around then so I dropped it. But last year I watched the full S4 and Ryan and Ryan/Taylor were my new faves. I just wasn't feeling it with Seth and Seth/Summer anymore.

Lindsay was ok but definitely a little on the boring side.
I loved the dynamic between the Cohens the best. Ryan was my favorite character though-super complex. Quote:

Seth just started smoking and blowing things and people off and lying and he and Summer were so off in seasons 3/4.
Season 4 they especially sucked to me, they were never on the same page and had different interested. Summer was away at Brown and they just were so awkward during the whole engagement thing. IDK, I really didnt lke. I never liked SS personally but in season 1/2 at least I could understand why other people did. |

I loved Seth and Summer, but even I can admit they weren't the same in S4 I don't know if it was because of how much Summer changed or because they broke up in real life it was just different and not as good. Hands down my favourite characters were Seth and Ryan; polar opposites but equally brought so much to the show.

very true about Seth and Ryan
Ryan's development on the show was also good, too.I love Seth and Summer! I think I will always love them I loved Ryan and Marissa,too. Although there are moments that Marissa is so off as a character (well atleast for me)__________________
