In fairness to Friends, I still enjoyed it's latter years. With MF, I just got tired of it's comedy, I guess. I used to watch new episodes right away. Now, I usually watch it days or weeks later. But there will still be episodes that will be touching so at least they still have that. I'm guessing the show will probably be renewed until S10. And then probably they can end it after that.

I still enjoy the show. I watch it on Thursday morning when I'm having my breakfast.
One thing though is I think the child actors were better when they were younger. The actors who play Luke and Lily had better comedic timing in the earlier years. Maybe because half the appeal comes from a young kid delivering a funny line Now they're more monotonous with acting. It's a shame. They did a great job with casting young kids though. There are kids on TV who really can't act but even Joe comes across very naturally. __________________

I agree. They were such cuties when they were kids. Now their dilemmas about girls, etc. aren't that funny. Although I would love for more Manny/Jay or Manny/Gloria and especially more Luke/Phil moments.
Also I find it odd that Luke is the school president. He's not a very bright person so I actually thought it was going to be Manny. I know in my high school, to get elected as school president, you have to have a certain grade average to qualify. __________________

^ Your school was a lot stricter than mine. In my schools everyone was given a chance to choose and make a list of people they'd want as student reps for the bigger issues. Then those were used to create a short list and we'd have to vote. So it was about popularity. If people didn't know you they wouldn't have considered nominating/voting for you. We also had a group of students who the teachers chose to handle more smaller issues. So those were based on who the teachers thought would be good examples. Grades were irrelevant.

In my school it was mostly a popularity contest for school president, but Luke isn't really driven enough for that position. It's out of character.

That explains it then. I agree that it's a popular vote and Luke is more popular than Manny but we don't even see him be a school president. I feel like he'll get tired of it eventually.
Yeah, school presidents in my high school are already elected so we have our intelligent/nerdy classmates to vote for. __________________

I think it's safe to assume that the show will still be renewed for next season right?

And ratings. I think it's still the top-rated show on ABC for it's time slot.

I remember when we used to watch this religiously Lindz. Its losing its comic value but I still think it has its funny moments, it focuses more on sweet stories these days, I recently caught up on a whole lot of episodes that I missed, I still get nolstagic watching it.

Hi Theresa!
Yeah, it's definitely losing it's comic value. Understandable for an old sitcom. I still watch the show and I'm updated. I usually watch a new ep a few days later. I don't like Haley's SL this year with that news reporter. __________________
