fwiw i understand the sociological theories in the show

Anyway here are some initial thoughts about the series without having seen a lot of it

And the notorious ones with the stories that made them infamous like Gacy, Bundy, have been nullified in this day and age. Its the media's approach to not romanticize the infamous, and i agree, why should someone doing something wrong be given the airtime/ publicity? when the rest of us are law abiding, or even trying our best to succeed in this world?

One more theory: a lot of people with psychopathic/ sociopathic tendencies (born that way) have been medicated and nullified, these people are still out there, but maybe thats a win to the pharmaceutical companies - to say that theyve made someone who might have been a dangerous mind just contribute to the overall scheme of things, rather than be an outcast of society ... perhaps?
