I am really enjoying this show, i do hope they don't cancel it.

Si_Crazy 08-01-2017 04:25 AM

^ Me too! I found the story and the characters interesting so far :D

Alexa 08-03-2017 01:09 AM

I really liked the premiere, I need to watch episode 2.

I love Francois Arnaud and Arielle Kibbel so i wanted to check it out. I found it interesting and entertaining and it wasn't too confusing for a pilot, which I was expecting it to be. So yay.

Si_Crazy 08-03-2017 03:03 PM

I started watching it because of Arielle Kebbel, but the pilot really caught my attention.

I liked the second episode, and the show has a good pace, with lots of things happening at the same time instead of only focusing in one storyline. Really made me curious to figure out what is going on with each character.

And the new promo made me very excited for the next episode :woot:

Episode 2 was just okay for me, I lost a bit of interest. I do think there are some interesting characters and plots and I love Francois a lot, but I think that it also is a bit disjointed in parts.... And I REALLY cant stand the love interest, shes so annoying to me.

Si_Crazy 08-04-2017 04:29 AM

Ohh I don't like the love interest either... I think she's the only character I couldn't care about, and based on the promo she does feel like the eternal damsel in distress

I'm really enjoying this series so far, love the interesting concept and characters & the CGI is good on a TV budget :D I have to admit I initially only decided to watch this new series because of the lead actor Francois Arnaud, I became a fan of him ever since I watched him in The Borgias, but I have come to really like the other characters in this show too, the first episode had me hooked instantly :D

really? I actually think episode 2 is even better than the pilot, we are starting to discover more relationships between the different characters and the plotline is progressing steady. I don't mind Creek but she is my least liked character so far and is the least interesting character to me, and I think her relationship with Manfred is moving too quickly, it does feel quite rushed. So far it seems Creek's character serves no real purpose besides just being Manfred's love interest and that's all. But overall I enjoyed ep 2 just slightly more than the pilot.

Alexa 08-06-2017 05:58 PM

not for me. episode 2 kinda felt the same the whole time where as in the first episode the mystery and getting to know the characters was more interesting and better paced imo.

LindaL100 08-06-2017 10:55 PM

well the pilot was mainly just introducing the characters, whereas in ep 2 we get to learn abit more about these characters especially for Fiji and the Rev's characters...it was cool to watch Fiji do her magic and her working together with Manfred and I also love that little twist about Rev's real supernatural form. Many people if not everyone expected he would be a werewolf, so a lot of people were surprised but delighted to find out that he's actually a weretiger, which was a very unexpected but nice twist.
Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the pilot a lot, but for me personally it was mainly just introducing the characters, while ep 2 delved deeper into these characters and the different relationships between these characters as well as progressing the storylines.

It looks like the series will be exploring more into each of the main characters individually in different episodes, we learned a lot about the protagonist Manfred and some background about Bobo in the pilot, while ep 2 gave us a more deeper look into Fiji & the Rev's characters...and based on the preview for ep 3, it looks like the next ep will focus more on the vampire Lemuel's character.

I just watched ep 3 and this show is so good, each episode just gets better & better :D it was good to learn more about Lem's character and his history with Manfred's grandmother in the ep, and I love the unity between the residents of Midnight, the town is such a close-knit community, everyone sticks together and work together to help & protect themselves and each other :) another thing I love about this show is that it seems to have an ensemble cast, there isn't just 1 pivotal main character in this show, even though Manfred is the lead character and protagonist, but he doesn't get all the intention, the other characters also get their decent share of focus and have their own important roles to play in the show, and all the main characters work together & stick together, the characters are like a collective unit and I love that :)

Anyway here are some gifs from this week's ep :)

Finally had time to watch episode 3... and I think it was the weakest so far, but I enjoying knowing more about Lem. And really nice to see the connection Lem had with Xylda, as well as why his eyes is different.
I agree with LindaL100, the show seems to be more an ensemble cast than just the one or two main characters, which already makes it very interesting.
I did think the acting on this episode was not the best  And that Creek character couldn't be more of a Mary-Sue if she tried... typical damsel-in-distress in every single episode.

Alexa 08-11-2017 11:01 PM

I watched episode 3 tonight and it was great, probably my favorite from the bunch thus far.

I LOVE the interaction between Olivia and Manfred! Now they have chemistry IMO. Olivia in general is just a BAMF and I love the actress. I love that she got more focus.

I love the vampire stuff. But I think if the show keeps introducing new characters it's gonna get a little bit annoying. I’d rather they focus on the ones they already have.

Still cant stand the love interest. She is so annoying and boring to me.

LindaL100 08-13-2017 01:27 AM

Si_Crazy: I agree with you about Creek...so far it seems her character serves no real purpose besides just being Manfred's love interest and damsel in distress, I also think she's the most boring character on the show and she lacks chemistry with Francois, Manfred & Creek just don't make a believable couple to me :( I think Francois has better chemistry with the actresses who plays Olivia and Fiji...I think Manfred would make a much more interesting couple with either Olivia or Fiji...Manfred & Creek are just boring and they lack chemistry.

Alexa: I agree I definitely see better chemistry between Manfred & Olivia than Manfred & Creek, and I really like Olivia too, she's not my favourite character, but she's close :) I also don't really like Creek either, she's just boring and serves no real purpose besides just being a love interest...I think the show would still do fine without her in it. I was initially fine with Creek's character in the beginning, but now she's starting to annoy me too.

I did not enjoy the pilot
the ratings are good for a summer show, so it's good news for the fans
