I currently own the first Five seasons and love the show so much. I think Married with Children gives the best example of feminism and men's rights ever. The show is the best when it comes to describing the fight for equality among the sexes IMO.

Al fights for men and Marcie fight for women, both are crazy and go to the extreme of both sides. Especially when Marcie marries Jefferson. :D

Does anyone else love the show?

Tried to watch some episodes on youtube but they didn't work. I love shows like this, where the man's place is always on the couch watching tv. Definitely seems like a good family show and it seems realistic too :) Always like the realistic factor.

Did they explain why the show got cancelled?

Actually, the woman was the one to always sit on the couch and watch tv. I mean Peggy is the voice to all lazy women everywhere. Al had a job, he came home and everyone took the money he earned. Especially his wife who did nothing. Not even cook.

Not to mention all the sexual assaults or rapes she committed against him at the time. Then again it was another time when we didn't consider certain things to be rape. Peggy forced her husband into sex more than any other character in history and yet no one not one person or feminist ever said anything about it.

Well, it lasted 11 seasons so it held it's own. Like all things the interested just seemed to die down. The times they were a changing... :D

Did you guys enjoy the earlier years with Steve or did you like it more when Jefferson and Marcy got married. I love how they made Jefferson like the male version of Peggy. :lmao:
