I hate it when music takes over the scene.

Same. Or when it adds nothing to the scene. For example, unpopular opinion, but I hated how music was used on oth, Imo they already sledgehammered the emotions/atmosphere they wanted us to feel though their cringey dialogue and acting. No need for sappy music on top of it all. And sometimes even high-quality shows make me cringe a little with music choices. E.g. I like how it's done on The Handmaid's Tale most of the times, but at one or two points I thought it was over the top.

On a music unrelated note, I'm on ep7 and I'm still liking Tagomi way more than I want to like him. I wonder how he got himself involved with this horrid politics in the first place. He seems like a decent person. Or maybe he just has some warped sense of morality or something. Either way, I hope to see more of him.

I thought that the music was decently used in the earlier seasons of OTH, but in the later seasons it was just way too distracting and even had some poor choices. Yeah, Tagomi is an pretty interesting character.

I just saw the premiere episode last year. And It was a solid one.
I plan to watch more. I watched it for Luke. So his character was one I liked atleast from the premiere. Which I think says of Luke's screen presence and acting abilities.

He's really so likeable. Loved when in the last ep of s1 that co-worker of his said he was too good for that world because it's very true.

Are there any other characters you like? I've grown to like inspector Kido. He's a good antagonist for Tagomi. And his facial expressions amuse me, lol.

John is a good villain protagonist. Frank and Ed have grown on me too. Tbh, Juliana, Joe and Frank all went on my nerves a bit in the pilot and they still do occasionally through the rest of the season (though Frank I started sympathizing more with since the second ep). But, at the same time, I love how human they all are. It's be easier for me to love them if they were textbook idealized revolutionaries but they would be less human that way.

Yeah, they all grew on me too, especially across the first season.

Yeah, you can't help but feel for them. Even if, for me at least, they aren't the type of characters that make me go "I wish I was like this."

Definitely wouldn't trade for their circumstances either. Same goes for all dystopia characters. But when they are overtly heroic, I kinda want their personalities (e.g. Moira from the Handmaid's Tale, sure don't want her life but I want her brain, attitude and courage).
