Lovecraft Country is an upcoming American drama horror television
series developed by Misha Green based on 2016 novel of the same name by Matt Ruff.
It is set to premiere on August 16, 2020, on HBO. The series is produced by Monkeypaw Productions,
Bad Robot Productions, and Warner Bros.
Television with executive producers including Jordan Peele, Green, J. J. Abrams, and Ben Stephenson.
The story is about a young African American,
who travels across the 1950s segregated United States in search of his missing father.

Lovecraft Country follows "Atticus Black as he joins up with his friend
Letitia and his Uncle George to embark on a road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America
in search of his missing father. This begins a struggle to survive and overcome both
the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback.

The book has an overarching theme that's basically what the show summary is but there's intermingled stories/interludes about different horrors based on issues that Black people of the time period faced. I don't remember a lot of them but I know they were very well written and unique.

I have faith Jordan Peele will do well with this.
