Television - looking for a name of an canadian tv series

hello everyone,

i'm looking for a name of an canadian tv series.

it's a drama tv series (something like northern exposure maybe), set in some snowy village.
it could be from 80's or 90's (i've watched it during 90's).
most of the characters are native americans, i remember one of them is a young man always wearing motor leather jacket, and if i'm not wrong, one of the characters has always been wearing chequered red/black shirt.

i know this isn't a lot, but maybe someone here could recognize which series is this and could help me find it's name.

unfortunately, that's not it.
well, i didn't think it's gonna be that easy.

the show i'm looking for is a little newer i presume, and it's not a comedy. yes, there are some comedy/action moments, but mostly it's drama.

i was a kid back then so i am not sure, but if i remember correctly, there was some big quebec logo in the credits.

found it, it's North of 60.
unfortunately, it seems impossible to find it, either for downlad or on dvd's.
