Welcome to the 1st Lipstick Jungle Appreciation/Discussion Thread!

Based on the best-selling book by Candace Bushnell ("Sex and the City"), this sexy new drama follows three high-powered friends as they weather the ups and downs of lives lived at the top of their game.

Movie exec Wendy (Brooke Shields, "Suddenly Susan") does everything she can to balance career and family. Nico (Kim Raver, "24"), editor-in-chief of a hot fashion magazine, has her eye on becoming CEO. And free-spirited designer Victory (Lindsay Price, "Beverly Hills, 90210") longs to make her dreams come true, and maybe find "Mr. Right" along the way.

Armed with humor and strength, these three modern New York women support one another through the triumphs and tears that are all part of making it big in the Big Apple. Also starring are Andrew McCarthy ("Joy Luck Club"), Julian Sands ("24"), David Alan Basche ("United 93"), David Norona ("Frasier"), Paul Blackthorne ("Big Shots"), and Robert Buckley ("Fashion House")

The series is executive produced by Oliver Goldstick ("Ugly Betty"), Timothy Busfield (NBC's "The West Wing") and Bushnell. Based on the book by Bushnell, "Lipstick Jungle" is from Universal Media Studios. The pilot is directed by Gary Winick ("13 Going on 30").

I can't believe Kirby did that.. I fantasized him to be the wonderful human being who happens to have falled for married woman but he turns out to be just another jerk.

anyways everytime I see Joe Bennet I feel like he is the old version of Logan Echolls from Veronica Mars.

I actually didn't like how Nico got him fired. If I was Kirby, that would've made me mad. So, I just can't blame him for taking action. Although, I have a feeling he'll back down to spare Nico.

I am not liking the Billionaire. Especially after how he commented that he didn't need to see Victory's friends anymore.

Get rid of this guy!

The whole story with Brooke Shields... I'm bored.

I agree with you.. I would've done the same thing if I was in his position.. but a girl can still fantasize about a guy who wouldn't do that you know..

I am actually really liking the show.

I could do with a little less Brooke Shields, but I just kinda am like 'whatever, when are Kim Raver and Victoria Price going to come on screen'. I really do like those two.

Okay, now I did not like how Kirby got fired, but then again, that is NOT what Nico wanted. She just did not want him at the shoot, b/c he made her uncomfortable. She did not want him fired.

I LOVED how he ripped up her check though.

And now, this sexual harrassment case, if Kirby is doing this, then I REALLY do not like him. If he isn't and it is just that stupid man who Nico works with then, Kirby is not on my hate list.

Well... Nico didn't help fix the situation. He came to her job because he was wondering why she hadn't called his boss to solve the problem. She was distracted... but, I can understand his anger towards her.

I have a feeling he will pull out and not try to bring her down. It's obvious her co-worker is out to get her... but, I doubt Kirby would stoop that low.

I don't really like Wendy or Victory.

And I don't like there SO's, either. I would honestly prefer the show to be all about Nico.

I agree with you about Kirby, I think he will pull out. There is one question though, "Why the heck is he NOT a series regular?"

And, I am not in love with, but I like the character of Victory. I am just trying to figure out how they are putting her relationship with Joe into the series. JOE (the actor, the name is slipping from my mind), is a series regular. And after the last epy, it seems kind of fuzzy where they are going with that storyline.

Brooke Shields storyline went from her marriage to motherhood, which was a little bit 'woah', but Nico...LOVE!!

I tried watching the show and I wouldn't say I loved it, but Nico and Kirby gave me more reason to continue watching. I love Nico's character and she's the prettiest among them. And Kirby... mmmm... how do I even begin to start with that guy. He's so sexy!

I was kinda disappointed though when he filed a sexual harassment case against Nico cause what I saw in him was a really good guy. I hope Kirby wouldn't turn out to be the bad guy. We know he's good. We saw him tear the check into pieces. And yeah, why isn't he a series regular?! They should make him one!
