Baze takes Lux to meet Cate, who is shocked and saddened to learn that Lux has grown up in foster care, but thrilled to finally meet her beautiful daughter. When a judge decides that Lux isn't ready for emancipation and unexpectedly grants temporary joint custody to Baze and Cate, they agree to try to get past the awkwardness and make a belated attempt to give Lux the family she deserves. LIFE UNEXPECTED is produced by Mojo Films in association with CBS Television Studios and Warner Bros. Television with executive producers Liz Tigelaar ("Brothers and Sisters," "What About Brian") and Gary Fleder ("October Road"). Gary Fleder directed the pilot.

Apparently it's supposed to be ALOT better than it looks. The critics say it feels like an old WB show. I saw the clips and it's really not that bad. I'll have to see if I can find them.

This is actually a show I am looking forward for. Just because well it's different and at least CW didn't lose its heart completely when they gave up on "Privileged" they have this now. We'll see. Yeah I've been reading that the critics are praising it, that's always a good thing.

I'm also excited for this show. This show along with Vampire Diaries are the only ones on my list of new shows to watch for fall. None of the others really interest me at all. I read nothing but positive things about this show. Hopefully people will give it a chance.

I agree with this. When I read the premise of the show a few months ago, I thought it was kinda lame but then I saw Shiri and Kerr in the cast and I say, well I will give the show a try anyway. But then I watched a clip from the Pilot and it surprised me. I really liked it. And yea, it feels like an old WB show. I just hope that Liz Tigelaar won't give in to the pressure from the CW high places.

I've never heard of the show before but it definitely looks interesting and it seems to have heart behind it. Thanks for posting the link to the clip of the pilot, it was really good. It's nice to see Shiri and Kerr on television again. I can't wait for the show to premiere.

Talking about the premiere have they released a date for it? If not when do they usually release dates for mid-season shows?

I'm not sure. They've just said midseason. They're probably waiting to see where they can put it.

just saw three sneak peeks and i'm SOLD! i swear, it feels like such a wb show!! you know, shows that had heart?
