Kings (Aired March - July 2009 on NBC) HOPE LIES IN BRAVERY. Kings is an inspiring exploration of the timeless David vs. Goliath struggle. The show is set in a modern metropolis under siege, where the fighting has gone on for too long and cost far too many lives. When David Shepherd, a brave young soldier, rescues the king's son from enemy territory, he sets events in motion that will finally bring peace. Suddenly, David is thrust into the limelight, earning the affections of women - including the king's daughter. When he's promoted to Captain, he becomes the reluctant poster boy for hope. But for David, the line between his allies and enemies will blur as the power players in the kingdom go to great lengths to see him fall.

Love this show so much. I mean, the dialogue was kinda in-and-out with the olden times & modern day phrasing, but quality acting and writing. NBC didn't promote and moved it across the board. BUT! The network did air every episode, so I'm thankful for that. |

yeah i am glad we gotta see evrything!
i just liked the writing and the filming, it was really interesting to watch. and jack especially was really great. i loved jacks friendship/rivalry with david a lot too! and david/michelle. |
I wish we had more on Jack/David. And not just cause I ship it. But in general. We got a few great episodes of Jack taking David out or "working together." Jack confessing he doesn't know what to think about David in "Brotherhood." But not enough. I'd like to think S2 would have had Jack escape and meet up with David and they'd overthrow Silas. And they'd be on great terms and Jack could stop his anger and see the difference and good David could do.
And I wish we had way more Jack/Michelle. They had like what 2-3 actual scenes together or something? Probably under-counting, but SERIOUSLY! Woulda liked JDM teaming up and going against Silas. |
