It also helped that we got some backstory on them when they were younger so I really appreciated the friendship more. Tbh, I wasn't familiar with the comics and was wary of Trish based on the description of the character. But then when I watched the show, she ended up being my favorite and I love that she already knows about Jessica's powers vs not knowing (like with Matt/Foggy in early S1). So there really is no drama with them.

their relationship really is so wonderful, and so special. I love that Jess has been protecting Trish since they were kids, and still wouldn't even let her mom go near her, for example, for all the horrible things she'd put Trish through.
