| Good idea, Joella. I just saw this Masterpiece Theater version a week ago. It was very good. I'm never sure how re-makes of classics will go over, but this was much better than the original. As I recall, the first one ended with Jane walking up to a blind Rochester, and that was the end. This ending was excellent, down to the family painting. ![]() Now I must read & re-read all of these books, since M.T. is featuring them this month. | |||

| Thanks for the thread. This is my favorite adaptation of the Brontë's book. Brilliantly filmed/acted. Best portrayal of Mr. Rochester by miles - which in fact inspired me to make this video... This Night Also looking forward to the new adaptations of Jane Austen's novels on Masterpiece. Thanks for the thread. __________________ "It does seem a shame that some of the most wonderful things this nation was built on – free speech, a questioning of authority, and non conformity have somehow been twisted into being labeled ‘Un-American’." - John Oliver Last edited by AudiRox : 01-18-2008 at 08:23 PM. | |||

| The funny thing is that this is not the kind of thing I'd usually watch. I personally never did find Pride & Prejudice interesting, but I really really liked Jane Eyre. I found THIS article on IMDB about the apparently truth about the personality of Charlotte Brontë, and I found it very interesting... __________________ honey, you are a rock | |||
