Into the Badlands (AMC) #1: "A baron’s home isn’t a sanctuary, it’s a battlefield."
The show takes us to a not so distant future and somewhat post-apocalyptic world where civilization as we know it fell. Our main character questions the system eventually seeks a way out.
It's a bit like a Mad Max kind of world. There are barons and workers. It's a martial art series set in modern times. I've seen a lot of kungfu tv shows from Asia and it's good to see it in a non-asian setting. I think Daniel Wu is a good actor. He's not one of those actors who are struck in one genre and one type of characters. I've known Stephen Fung as an actor and singer, this is my first time seeing his work as a director. He's also working on "Wu Assassins" but I haven't watched it at this time. __________________

This show was awesome! hate that it was cancelled.
Especially with such an open ended, series finale. __________________

i really like the show as well. i'm still on season 3. the world in which the story takes place is interesting to explore even more so with the madness world we live in right now.

i finished the show now and yeah it's a very open ending. it has great potential. a pickup from another channel is unlikely especially with the virus crisis. __________________

Yeah with the ending we got... I not sure they new the show would be cancelled at the time, otherwise they might have changed the ending.
But I still enjoyed the show as a whole. __________________

yeah they probably didn't know the show was to be canceled.
the last episode wasn't too much of a cliffhanger and still works as an ending even if it's not ideal. we can still see Sunny "in training" as he died. I mean if it wasn't the end, he could be in a place between life and death. I miss the show's fusion of kungfu and fantasy. I wish there was more on Azra. Also MK's character didn't have to end up this way. I get the whole teenage angst but the character's development could've went differently. __________________

It was interesting seeing Pilgrim's follower find the gun though. would like to see where they were gonna go with introducing guns into this. I know it would've been epic.
I have no doubt Sunny was gonna be brought back to life some how. as for MK, I liked him in the beginning but he went to crazy/filled with hate for me. I thought at some point he would see Pilgrims ways were to extreme and leave but, nope. smh __________________

yeah the gun introduction! that was exciting. too bad we won't find out how epic it'd be.
same thought here for MK. All this hate, at least write him into a proper villain but no he was just an angry teen. __________________
