How I Met Your Mother ~ Appreciation #1

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER is a comedy about Ted (Josh Radnor) and how he fell in love. It all starts when Ted's best friend, Marshall (Jason Segal), drops the bombshell that he's going to propose to his long-time girlfriend, Lily (Alyson Hannigan), a kindergarten teacher. At that moment, Ted realizes that he had better get a move on if he too hopes to find true love. Helping him in his quest is Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), a friend with endless, sometimes outrageous opinions, a penchant for suits and a foolproof way to meet women. When Ted meets Robin (Cobie Smulders), he's sure it's love at first sight, but destiny may have something else in store. The series is narrated through flashbacks from the future.

Well let me be the first to say how much i loved the Premiere of this show. At first, my only real reason for tuning in was to see the amazing Alyson Hannigan back on the screen. However, she was just one of the many great reasons to continue watching this show.
I really don't think i've enjoyed a Sitcom Pilot as much as this in quite a few years, and the twist at the end has got me thinking so much. So all i can say is bring on Episode 2 and:

"Suit Up!"

I don't muck like comedy, and tend to stay away from sitcoms. However, this show has the honor of being the first sitcom that I will watch regularly. While a lot of the reviews I've seen have listed Neil Patrick Harris (Barney) as stealing the show, I have to say that, for me, that honor goes to Miss Aly (she's seriously funny, and I loved her 'pirate look').

I loved the pilot and will definitely keep tuning in.

I'm a big fan of Aly and Jason Segal both which is what got me to tune in.

I'm liking Ted and Barney both.

Very funny and the twist at the end was definitely a surprise.

Maybe it was my mood but as much as I love Alyson, I couldn't get into the show. Alyson was great with her charming self, tho.

I missed it! Anyone know if they'll rerun the premiere? A lot of shows have been doing that recently...

I'm not sure on what day it will re-air, but you can be pretty certain that it will. And once you find out, i'd put the date in your calendar, cause you don't wanna miss this.

I thought the pilot was kinda slow in some parts but it was funny. Anyway, I'm sure I'll be tuned in to see next week's episode!

I tuned into this show because I love Neil Patrick Harrison. He will always be Doogie Howser to me but he is just so awesome as Barney. I love Barney.

I love the olive bit. That was cute.

I just happen to tune in to this show and give it a chance. I was surprised that it was so funny. This was way different then the character Neil Patrick Harris played on doogie howser. It seems being in Howard and Kumar go to White Castle prepared him for this show. I heard like 14 million people saw the show. That's a big number for a new show.

I watched this show thinking it would be alright, but I loved it. I thought it was great and the ending really stumped me. I won't say anything because I know some haven't seen it, but it really made me want to see the next episode.

Hi, I really liked this show and laughed quite a few times. The end of the pilot was shocking. I wasn't expecting that. I can't wait to see where the show goes from here.
