History Channel Special: "Lost Book of Nostradamus"

I swear I get so sucked into their shows! Anyway, I just saw a preview for a special called "Lost Book of Nostradamus" which will explore this prophet from the 1500s who predicted all these modern-day catastrophes - like 9/11. This book is said to contain even more cryptic images about our future so the History Channel will explore if the book is legit and whether or not there is truly a strong correlation b/w his predictions and what actually happened/ will happen.
Doesn't it seem crazy?? I'm totally checking it out.
Anyone else heard of Nostradamus? Do you guys believe that he could truly see the future?

I've heard of him and I've been truly stunned at how accurate he's been. It's kind of freaky.

Thanks for letting us know about this special. I love watching the History channel stuff.

I've watched some specials about him before It's really an interesting idea, seeing people from both sides try to dispute the others claims.

Hopefully I'll be able to watch this one soon

I think it's really eerie and startling too how accurate he has been. Just the backstory of the book is amazing. It dates back to 1629 but wasn't found until 1994 in some library in Rome! The tagline for the special is "He saved his biggest prediction for last!" Creepy...
Oh! And forgot to mention it airs 10/28 at 9PM ET.

Me too! Sometimes you need to take a break from all those "guilty pleasures" and actually watch something that is a bit more compelling !

I always get sucked into watching so many of the History Channel's shows, too.

I found out they are going to be exploring topics as current as the rise of fundamentalism- specifically the rise of radical Islam. Also both World Wars and movements such as Communism. Baffling....!

Yeah- it will be fun to come back here and compare notes about what we think is valid and what we're skeptical about...

Yes! I thought it was really fascinating as well. Like I mentioned before, the History Channel always draws me in. I thought it was really interesting to see the way they deciphered all the symbolism in the images. At first glance, they don't look like much, but when you dig deeper there is some crazy stuff going on in there!
And I have to admit - I was a little spooked afterwards....

I saw bits and pieces of it, but not the entire thing. I recorded it, though, so I'll watch it this weekend.

The symbols were very interesting and eerily accurate up to now.
