H i s D a r k M a t e r i a l s       Premise His Dark Materials is set in an alternative world where all humans have animal companions called dæmons, which are the manifestation of the human soul. The series follows the life of young Lyra (Dafne Keen) who is an orphan living with the tutors at Jordan College, Oxford. As in Pullman's novel, Lyra discovers a dangerous secret that involves Lord Asriel (James McAvoy) and Marisa Coulter (Ruth Wilson).[1] In her search for her missing friend, Lyra also uncovers a slew of kidnappings and its link to the mysterious substance called Dust. Never understood why they switched the ice bears and the Bolvangar sequences in the movie.

^ I guess the fight at Bolvangar gives for a better final showdown since they weren't gonna keep the original ending?

Thanks cause I'm already feeling like we're nearing the end of this season which really sucks because the show just started.
 I'm still confused by a lot of things because I've not read the books so I'll ask questions on this thread. But I don't want to ask questions that will tread on spoilers.  __________________
