It's a lot to take. And depressing. I had to be in a good mood to watch this show plus I can only watch one ep a week (since they used to release like 2 or 3 eps ahead before) and I can't binge-watch this type of show.

I understand that, given the current political climate.

Edit: I've finished watching season one. I guess the rebellion begins now

This was before the pandemic happened. I watched S1 late and wanted to binge but I couldn't and can only do 1 ep/week.

S1 was amazing right? I mean it was a lot to take but it was an amazing season. I also don't tend to watch dystopian shows but this one reeled me in from the start.

The last episode I watched was season 2, episode 4, and it seems like June has been brain-washed into being a handmaid again. Poor girl

Something just occurred to me, where are the other religions of the world in this universe? Don't tell me, this extreme Christian group is the only one that exists?

It's not clear on the show what other religions exist (not sure if it's mentioned in the book) but on this world, whatever beliefs this totalitarian government has is the one that's being followed.

Yeah I was under the impression it was in this time, its just IF this religion took over the US.

Ive been rewatching season 1 sort of because I watch a reactor who watched it... the show is def. better the first time you watch it, it just gets depressing on rewatches imo lol.
