Yeah, GG is going to really have to push the envelope, tv has really changed in the past decade.

GG is going to have to stop pretending NYC is so white and have more POCs on it. It had a severe lack of diversity in the original.

I totally agree with this. I mean they included later on, but diversity with the main characters would have meant a lot. Probably there would be LGBT too.

They need more LGBTQ characters as well as hispanics, blacks, and asians. The first three make up a large portion of the city.

One of the things I hated is how they treated Eric's SL. I think it could be more core for Serena too. They always wrote very serious SLs then dropped it like a potato all of a sudden, or never treated the way it should have. I really hated that. :nod:

GG premiered in 2007. While it doesn't seem that long ago, I think it was still more a bit taboo with gay story lines for characters and whatnot. I figure it would be much more diverse in a reboot.
