I am almost done with Season 2. I love Dan/Blair, Chuck/Blair, Chuck/Serena friendship, Nate/Vanessa/Chuck Nate/Blair/Chuck/Serena trios and foursomes. I love NJ and NV a lot, also NB is killing me. Those were nates good pairings.

I think this episode also shows how much Serena understood Blair, and chuck, which I feel people underestimated a lot. I also loved Blair and Nates talk in that episode, all 3 tried to help her in the ways that they could! I think it was great that whilst she couldn't accept chuck and serenas help at that time, as they know her best and therefore were the hardest to face, she could turn to Nate It's episodes and moments like these which is why this show will always be my favourite |

Dan and Serena are my absolute favorites on this show. I've rewatched Season 1 and 2. I didn't like how they changed at all.

LOL god I love them Aw season 1 and 2 so many emotional moments in these seasons, a lot More on average than the rest. The chuck/Blair scenes were heartbreaking, and I think the episode where Bart dies the first time is some of the best work Ed's done on the show This is probably my favourite (and saddest) derena scene, it gave me a lot of feels - it's like Leighton, when Blake cries it makes me tear up and dan looks HOT And this scene makes me cry even now! Probably my favourite scene of the series. before this scene I wasn't really drawn in emotionally, it was just another teen show. But this moment was SO amazing, I loved seeing the raw human side of Blair for the first proper time, she was heart wrenching, and serenas remorse was just so moving. Leighton and Blake killed it. Agreed a lot! I love that bed scene In season 6 SC had only a scene in 6x5 where Chuck was leaving his suit and Serena came to talk to Nate. "Serena..." "Hey Chuck. Bye Chuck"... Honestly I get what they tried to do but in general those ideas suck at execution. Nothing felt enough.
Since her show is coming up soon Leighton is so active lately Quote:

Yeah, and it's a shame because I've just been watching clips of the last 2 seasons and I'm going to try not to in future - I know that most of them were really fed up with the show by that point (and with the dodgy writing who could blame them) but unfortunately it really does show up in the acting an awful lot. There's a lot of scenes where Leightons voice is just so high pitched and slightly whiny, and pretty much unrecognisable to her season 1/2 voice/acting. It's really hard to look past sometimes same goes with Blake, she seems so stiff and wooden in a lot of scenes, I just think a lot of them were really phoning it in for the last part of the series. Whereas watch any single scene from season 1, even 2, and everything is full of emotion and heart, from the WHOLE cast. It raised the bar on shows like like this.
I think Leighton definitely looks better with brown hair, and it's a shame as she probably thinks she can't have long brunette curls or she'll be associated as Blair for the rest of her life, which she clearly wants to move past. Every time she's asked about it she gives off a slightly resentful impression of the character, saying she's looking for more grown up things, because she wants to move on and people keep reminding her of it. But it's actually a testament to her talent that people are so enamoured with that role - she elevated it to something special with her acting, there was something she gave to that part that no one else could, and it's why people still adore Blair Waldorf and always will. She's been typecast because she was SO GOOD, but I think the only way to move on from that is to make another role her own in the same way. Hopefully she gets on a really successful show Or film that will break it, like Emma Watson is trying to do |

they all seem to have a sort of annoyance with the show, which you cant blame them sometimes because some of the plots were ridiculous but its like... this show gave them their start and they should be more appreciative of it.

Yeah, I mean you can understand why if they are promoting something new and all they got asked about was gossip girl that they would get frustrated, but I think they should probably just accept that they are always going to be asked about it In some capacity, even if it's just one question at the end of an interview. It's almost like every time they do get asked they say 'it was great but that was a different part of my life' lol we get it, but a lot of them haven't done something as memorable (Blake's films aside) since and it's sad that they don't see it's only because people love the show so much and want to get to know the people who play those characters. Last few seasons aside, it wasn't anything to be embarrassed about either, it was a pretty good show.
