I notice Brennan speaks monotone and sounds kinda emotionless a lot (when I'm not careful or in a mood, I notice I can sound quite the same with a monotone voice) but Saun literally talks like he's a robot I'm just confused cause if you're high if your Aspie or smart high functioning usually you can work out making eye contact or improving your speech through the rigorous schooling and interaction that kind of education he would have to go through surely he'd pick up how to mesh better with his speech pattern!

It's just harder for me to believe Shaun is so high functioning yet speaks sounding like he's dumb! But when I watch Bones, it's like I react the same as Brennan as she gets confused about sarcasm from the other characters I react the exact same way as her as I'm watching it... which is impressive to me the writers got it so right that I'm initially reacting the same as Brennan when she gets confused,

About the robot thing, I don't know if it's the shows idea of portraying it. Freddie talked like that on Bates Motel too.

Thats strange. That annoys me that they didn't reveal that about Brennen at some point though. I don't see how it would be bad... but I guess if the writers at least acknowledged that, its a good thing.

I do think Shaun speaks monotone as well, but I think that the writers are trying to make it apparent for the audience. I think he talked normally maybe people would have a harder time understanding what was so different about him? With that said, Freddie actually speaks sort of like that lol. At least in his american accent because when you watch Bates Motel he has as similar voice. Granted, Norman was supposed to be an odd character on that show. Maybe if he were playing a role of an average joe he would sound different? I dont know.

I loathed that movie. By far one of my all time least favorite movies ever. No wonder I recognized him from somewhere though.

i loved him in august rush. the music in that was awesome.

finally caught up on this show. i love the character progression between shaun and claire. he seems to connect with her. but he needs to learn to not speak frank infront of the patients when needing to talk prognosis with the dr/staff. even if he is right.

what was dr. glassman saying though about needing assistance for him?
