yeah i liked how they learned how to wrestle all the bts stuff that went into taking a fake punch and learning to run into the ring and stuff. all that was pretty cool. it wasnt into ep 6 or so that things started to pick up and get more interesting with the fighting/storylines

i was kinda disappointed not enough wrestling scenes for a show about that the coach had way too much screentime |

has anybody noticed how they drop in the odd reference to the past as if it was 'something at the time', as opposed to fetishsizing the past
Eg: Madonna, yeh, shes big at the time How Madonna has managed to make her name resonate for nearly 40 years after the 80s is something else though  EDIT - interesting how the river phoenix look was a thing at the time too, one of the characters (pizza delivery boy) is a spitting image of the icon __________________
