Wow, I don't watch most of those shows. Congrats to the 30 Rock cast, though. Love them.

I'm thrilled about: Entourage, Weeds, The Flight of the Conchords and Dexter all getting a first time show nomination! I love them all and it's well deserved so fantastic! And of course How I Met Your Mother and Neil Patrick Harris! As well as Lost, 30 Rock, and the Office! I really am liking the nominations tons and think they have the classics but with a lot of new nods as well. Plus almost all of my shows were nominated, save for like 4 of them, which I don't think should have been. So I am thrilled. I would have liked to see noms for: Cobie Smulders of HIMYM, Justin Kirk from Weeds and I was shocked The Pivs wasn't even nominated! WOW! Last edited by Air; 07-16-2009 at 12:14 PM |

Pretty upset /angry that 24 after 20 month layoff came back with a great season . Only one acting supporting nod ,the rest are for production and stunts . every other major category 100% snubbed. Hey i know 24 has been around 8 years and has won every major TV award .
Lost, Josh Halloway and Elizabeth Mitchell both deserved a emmy nod . Grey's anatomy Katherine Heigl was great in the 2nd half of the season nothing... The biggest Snub of all The Shield FX great Cop Drama final season and perhaps the best one out of 7. True Blood becoming a fast favorite nothing Happy for Lost, Weeds, Dexter and House all getting major emmy nominations !!! __________________

I also would have loved to see noms for more Lost actors. Happy for Michael Emerson but Josh Holloway and Matthew Fox specifically. Even Evi as well! She'd be great for mixing up the lead actress category, which I found to be the one that was least mixed up. I think the comedy categories really got a lot of toss up as well as the usuals and is really strong all around this years. Also it's so crazy that House and Lost are the only two network dramas nominated! |

I literally jumped out of my computer chair and started dancing when I saw that Jim was nominated. I mean, the man TOTALLY deserves it.

Jory did you see his reaction when Chandra read his name? It was totally adorable. I was so happy for him! He definitely deserves it and seems so unaccustomed to the attention.

Thanks for this thread!
I'm really excited Jim Parsons and Simon Baker were nominated, though I'm sad Battlestar Galactica was snubbed in it's final season...but that's just typical of the Academy to ignore Sci-Fi/Fantasy programming. __________________
