Same. I preferred Ed Skrein over Michiel Huisman and that's probably cause I too have problems with re-casting especially for a recurring role like Daario.

Agreed Even though I like Michiel more as an actor and I love Dany and Daario's relationship...it's just hard to get the old one out my head. Especially because they're SO different.

Yes, I think he's a better actor too. I saw him on Orphan Black and didn't even recognize him cause he had an American accent on that show.

I think the first Daario probably looked more like the character from the books but tbh I thought he was a dreadful actor... at least in GoT. I thought he was fine in Deadpool.

My only real annoyance with the recasting is there wasn't even an attempt to make the two Daario's look alike.

Agreed It really changed the vibe of their established relationship. But oh well. This new Daario is hotter, to me, and a better actor. And I enjoy their relationship. They've had sweet moments and seeing him bow to her was fantastic. He truly couldn't believe how glorious Dany was in that moment It was so well done (his reaction) and the whole scene.

I love Michiel on Orphan Black so much! Cal and Sarah had AMAZING chemistry.

Actually, neither of them really look fully like the Daario from the books. However, the Daario from the books supposedly looks so outlandish, it's probably for the best.

Well considering the fact that none of the Outlandish looking characters from the books had been given their true outlandish appearance on the show up until the point where Daario showed up, there was no way that he was gonna get a faithful enough appearance to do his book appearance justice

Oh wow, did not know that Daario was supposed to have multi-colored hair like that! He kind of looks like a mix of both actors...but still not wild enough
