Friday Night Lights (NBC): Tuesday's this Fall!

From TV.com

From acclaimed writer/director Peter Berg and Brian Grazer.

In Dillon, Texas, high school football isn’t just a sport, it’s a way of life. This year, the Dillon Panthers are expected to go all the way. That’s a lot of pressure for Eric Taylor in his first year as head coach. Not to mention, the pressure on the athletes who all have their sights set on college and the NFL. Coach Taylor is ready to mold these boys into champions and encourage them to be better men. Will they rise to the challenge?

NBC.com weekly exclusives include Julie Taylor’s "Video Yearbook" chronicling life on and off campus, as well as on and off the football field.

I just saw the pilot and was really impressed with it. This comes from Jason Katims who was part of my two favorite shows of all time (Roswell and My So Called Life) so I expect to become hooked on this as well.

Definitly want to watch this. I loved the movie and being from Texas, it's all about football.

For some reason, I had thought we already had a thread for this show. I guess not! Anyhow, glad you got the thread started. The promos look very promising.

BTW, I'll add this to our thread guide.

It's competition is House, Gilmore Girls, NCIS and Dancing with the Stars. I don't watch any of them, so this is perfect for me. I do watch GG, but i'm watching the dvds. I'm barely starting S2.

I think one reason why it's not on Friday nights because in the fall a lot of people will not be home because they will probably be going to see high school football games in their towns. Friday Night Lights does have some tought competition. If the new FOX Standoff gets cancelled early I bet House would go back to its old timeslot at 8pm CST.

I don't watch anything it's up against except for dancing with the stars...and that depends on who's on it...and it's only part of the season so my vcr will take care of that problem.
