Colm Feore and Wendy Crewson guest star as the SRU handles a VIP protection shift at a lavish downtown Toronto hotel. Ed Lane's (Dillon) admiration for the man shatters when the philanthropist's past catches up with him in a terrifying public showdown.

EPISODE 11: “Backwards Day”
Emma’s having a hard time keeping it together. For eight years, she and her husband, Blake, have tried every conception technique, from holistic to high-tech – putting their marriage on edge, and draining their life savings dry. They finally got pregnant – but a few weeks ago, Emma miscarried and she’s growing more and more despondent every day. When Emma discovers a suspicious text message on Blake’s cell phone, her world shatters. Is Blake having an affair? SRU responds to a panicked 911 call, but what appears at first to be a violent domestic dispute turns out to be a volatile barricade situation, involving a potentially delusional wife, and a terrified “other woman.” Things get even more troubling for both Emma and the SRU when the hostage reveals that she’s pregnant – the worst thing she could say to Emma, and a tactical nightmare for the team. A pregnant hostage means they can’t use any
of their usual less-lethal techniques. As first responder on the scene, Ed must handle the negotiations – a delicate task that grows more complicated by the minute. And as Ed reaches out to a potentially betrayed wife, he’s forced to face the problems in his own marriage.

One of the best ,who brought Ed into the ranks of elite cops teaching him everything he knows, Darnell is unraveling. Suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and, tortured by his role in the death of an innocent nearly 20 years ago, Darnell comes to the station demanding to see the incident file that still haunts him. As Darnell sets the stage for a suicide ritual, Team One is forced to negotiate with one of their own – an insider who knows all the tricks in the book. And as Ed begins to understand what’s brought his old friend to the edge of a cliff, he recognizes he may be headed for the same place…

The young woman crumples to the sidewalk, mid-stride. The husband joins a cluster of people trying to help, when – CRACK! – he falls too. People panic and scatter, no idea which way is safe. Within moments, the street is deserted. An hour later and 40 blocks away, it happens again. Another hour later, two more people are shot. A lone sniper is on a rampage and he’s holding an entire city hostage. Calling himself “Jaeger” (the “Hunter”) the sniper leaves a trail of clues that only a highly-skilled marksman can decode. It’s sniper against sniper, rooftop to rooftop, brain against brain, as Ed and Parker try to get inside the head of a psychopath and use all their tactical brilliance to anticipate a murderer’s next move. I noticed there wasn't a thread for this show and thought I'd make one.

The pilot aired today and I really liked it. Very intense show and the music was wonderful. Can't wait to see how Sam gets along with the rest of the team and how things form between him and Jules.

I hope you guys check it out.

For me the pilot was especially interesting since the storyline was actually taken from something that happened in my city a few years ago (with a few minor changes).

Yeah, I thought Greg was the leader but then again I don't know really what's the difference between Team Leader and Team Sergeant.

I know, Amy Jo looks so young. She's actually 8 years older than the rookie Sam and they look closer in age.

The latest episode felt like the movie John Q lol, but still really good.

Sam was really pissing me off, like look at the damaged you caused.

Though i just died, when they told him about his special mission to Tims (Canada only maybe lol)

I read that apparently John Q took it's plot from a situation that happened in Toronto and I know that Flashpoint is taking some events straight from the news (ie. the pilot is based on something that happend at Union Station) so it porbably took it from the same news story. Oh well.

I know, Sam just screwed things up! But yeah, I'm glad they made him go for a Timmy's run since he was asking too many questions.

I can't wait for the next episode. I saw the preview aired on CTV and the CBS one as well and it looked like two different storylines.

CTV aired a promo that follows a drug ring operation whereas the CBS promo showed distruct within the team.

The ratings look good. It's interesting how the ratings went up in the second half of the show. Usually people tune out after the first half.

I saw the pilot last week ~ been hearing a ton of buzz surrounding this show which prompted me to check it out. It's pretty interesting, hope it stays on air. It's also cool to see that it's based in Toronto.

OMG i'm so glad that someone started a thread for this show. I just love this show!!! The cast is great and i have loved all the episodes so far!
