July 11, 2008 - Ed Lane's the best sniper and the toughest cop on SRU Team One. So when an enraged gunman takes a hostage in a public square at rush hour, it's Ed who ends up in position to take the lethal shot from a nearby rooftop. July 18, 2008 - Jack Swanson's (Henry Czerny; Mayerthorpe, The Tudors) teenaged daughter desperately needs a heart transplant to survive. When he is told that a heart is finally available, he races his girl to the hospital, only to find the heart's been allocated to someone else - a bureaucratic screw-up that could cost his daughter her life.
Distraught, Jack turns a policeman's gun on a surgical team, forcing Ed and Jules to face the chilling possibility of a lethal solution.

EPISODE 3: The Element of Surprise
July 25, 2008 - The team helps out some undercover agents who are involved in a major drug bust. However, the operation goes wrong when a junkie gets involved.

EPISODE 4: Asking For Flowers
July 31, 2008 - Rebecca Kessfield (Chandra West), speeds across town, praying under her breath. She can't take it anymore, her little sister Sadie (Meredith Henderson) can't take it anymore... bursting into a little house in the Beaches, she finds Sadie on the bathroom floor, kidney-punched, throwing up blood, a newborn baby crying in the bedroom. Problem is: Sadie's abusive husband is a cop. He knows where to hit her so it doesn't show, and he knows how to find her if she tries to leave... Enraged, Rebecca takes Pete's (Kenneth Mitchell) gun from a drawer and heads to Pete's local cop bar. This is going to stop, and it's going to stop tonight. When Rebecca takes Pete to his sailboat on the waterfront - the place he married her sister, the perfect place for a troubled cop to "commit suicide" - she has no idea that Ed, Jules, and the SRU are one step ahead of her, pulling out all the stops in a desperate effort to protect one of their own. But the sympathies of the SRU are going to come into conflict, when they discover their brother in arms is a vicious abuser of women.

I noticed there wasn't a thread for this show and thought I'd make one.

The pilot aired today and I really liked it. Very intense show and the music was wonderful. Can't wait to see how Sam gets along with the rest of the team and how things form between him and Jules.

this show actually has a pretty decent cast... i dvr'd the pilot... hopefully i'll catch it before ep two

I hope you guys check it out.

For me the pilot was especially interesting since the storyline was actually taken from something that happened in my city a few years ago (with a few minor changes).

I know, but Amy Jo is the only power ranger to really do anything haha.

She's like 37, but still looking good i think lol.

I always thought Greg was the leader too...

Yeah, I thought Greg was the leader but then again I don't know really what's the difference between Team Leader and Team Sergeant.

I know, Amy Jo looks so young. She's actually 8 years older than the rookie Sam and they look closer in age.

The latest episode felt like the movie John Q lol, but still really good.

Sam was really pissing me off, like look at the damaged you caused.

Though i just died, when they told him about his special mission to Tims (Canada only maybe lol)

I read that apparently John Q took it's plot from a situation that happened in Toronto and I know that Flashpoint is taking some events straight from the news (ie. the pilot is based on something that happend at Union Station) so it porbably took it from the same news story. Oh well.

I know, Sam just screwed things up! But yeah, I'm glad they made him go for a Timmy's run since he was asking too many questions.

I can't wait for the next episode. I saw the preview aired on CTV and the CBS one as well and it looked like two different storylines.

CTV aired a promo that follows a drug ring operation whereas the CBS promo showed distruct within the team.

The ratings look good. It's interesting how the ratings went up in the second half of the show. Usually people tune out after the first half.

I saw the pilot last week ~ been hearing a ton of buzz surrounding this show which prompted me to check it out. It's pretty interesting, hope it stays on air. It's also cool to see that it's based in Toronto.

OMG i'm so glad that someone started a thread for this show. I just love this show!!! The cast is great and i have loved all the episodes so far!
