The earlier eps was slow for me but now it has picked up and the last 2 eps were some of my favorites. :nod:

I know the first three episodes were kind of slow but still entertaining! Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange are phenomenal! although I was kind of leaning to Bette in the series :lol: Joan is just so vile and jealous!

We get 8 episodes, the latest one is the 6th ep which I'll watch later. :)

I actually find the show campy but watchable because of the performances of Susan Sarandon & Jessica Lange. They are just soooooo good. :thud:

I'm still in episode 5 (the oscars episode!) and I cant believe Joan and Hedda did that lol! Hollywood is such a nasty place!

also hollywood is such a sad place for Women in the 1960s :( cant believe they didnt get offers after the baby jane movie

and can i just say that Hedda Hopper reminds me of Rita Skeeter! :lol:

The Oscars ep is one of my favorites. Joan was savage. :lol:

I think Hollywood is still a sad place for women, especially if you're of a certain age (except if you're Meryl Streep). :( But it has improved a great deal compared to before of course. :nod:

I actually had to YT the moment Joan received Anne Bancroft's Oscar. OMG. :lol:

I felt bad for Bette. She was so sure she was going to win! and I was actually surprised that the actresses agreed to Joan's request! :lol:

btw, cant believe Bette Davis didnt best actress for All about Eve.

I can't believe they allow other actors to receive trophies that time. I don't think that's allowed now right? The Academy accepts on their behalf.

Have you seen the recent ep? I read up about it after watching and my gosh, there's more drama to come. :lol:

I guess the Academy doesn't want another Joan/Bette rivalry :P and I also cant believe that the actors/actresses are not that all interested to go to the Oscars! :lol:

Yeah, i've seen it. I researched about the movie and unfortunately for Joan, the 'Charlotte' movie was also a success and she was replaced by Olivia de Havilland

Right? You'd think they'd be excited to go. :lol:

:nod: And again, that whole drama with Joan being replaced has a lot to do with their rivalry. I also blame the media for hyping up their rivalry so much.

We're already down to the last 2 episodes. :thud:

That look on Joan's face when she passed by Bette having had the moment stolen from her was crazy :lol:

But the contrast at the end showed Bette at least had her friends with her to comfort her and Joan just had a quiet house alone with an Oscar that wasn't even hers, just for one moment of attention from Bette!

I like the the colours and costuming they have done to show off the 60's era.

I'm glad you noticed that. Joan has lived a very sad life with only her mamasita there with her. :(
