Eli Stone #1: Singing and Dancing and a Little Bit of Faith

ELI STONE APPRECIATION THREAD

I am addicted to this show. Through the new season hiatus due to the writer's strike I found this show and it was the best thing this season. It has made me laugh, cry and make my heart go 'pitter pat'.

I hope there are others who feel this way. This thread is for us!

Yes! Eli Stone is an incredible show! Started out a little slow but it sure ended strong! Like you, I've cried, laughed, sung. I really hope it returns next season. It has to!

Oh, I LOVE love LOVE this show! :-)

It's really good and it reminds me a bit of Ally Mcbeal and let me tell you, that's not bad. Ally is my all time favorite show :-)

And I have two new ships. Eli/Maggie and Matt/Taylor

The show started off slow and just ok for me, but by the end of the season I was in love with it. I really hope it comes back!

I think it will come back. I've heard that it's very likely that it will

If you love those 2 couples, then come to the Couples board :-) I have started a thread for Matt/Taylor but no one has posted in it and it's on a few pages behind now, but I can bump it up if you want to and I have starteda Eli/Maggie thread :-)

Ooooh yaaaay! I see people that I haven't seen in forever!

I definitely ship Eli/Maggie and Taylor/Matt. I think they have a strong cast in this show and hopefully they won't do anything to screw it up. I hope they don't try to reinvent just because it's the 2nd season.

I wuff Victor Garber in this show. I love listening to him sing. He has such an amazing voice, though sometimes I wonder how he ever did musicals, cause sometimes he looks a little stiff in those numbers...

I didn't start watching this show until probably ep 6? So I must have missed the slowish part. But by midseason they managed to find their niche.

I do have to say that it does remind me of Ally McBeal which freaks me out and scares me. They had a long run, but in someways I do NOT want it to go there. I think the God/faith/journey aspect is its' strongest asset. It's the seeing the idea of giving up everything to fulfill your purpose. It's so amazing and touching and it is really a feel good show which aren't made a lot nowadays.

This show BETTER come back. ABC would be smart to build on this show with such a strong cast. It's all about the writing and acting. And the acting has been superb. There are sooo many characters that have such underlying depth that could be explored. And I hope that they do.

Whooohooo! Go Eli Stone fans!

I've been watching this show since eppy one and I don't think it started off slow at all. From the very start it had me hooked. Check the eppys out online at ABC.com if you've missed those eppys and see for your self. I love this show and the way the finale ended I sure hope it comes back.

The Pilot was great, but the next few episodes were good, but for me, it was ep. 8 (Something to Save) that kick started the really great episodes that just left me speechless.

I agree about Victor Garber being awesome. I'm still crying over FOX cancelling Justice, so to have Victor Garber playing a lawyer -- who sings in Eli's visions? Perfection!

I loved the Loretta Devine/Victor Garber son in "Soul Free." What a way to end the season!

I totally agree about Victor Garber. I have loved him in everything I've seen him in from Titanic to Alias to Justice and now Eli Stone. He delivers every time. That ensemble dance/song number at the end of Soul Free was really cool. I really enjoyed that.
