Yep. Unfortunately.

That's kind of my perspective too... That we'll be gaining momentum going into late Aug/September... (I believe the S2 DVD is out in late August, too) so it'll hopefully all crescendo into a landslide Dexter vote!

I can't wait till season 3 and keep scanning various sites for spoiler info. Does that make me a Dexter junkie?

I watched last night and IMO "Shrink Wrap" is sort of the defining episode of season one. The only problem I have with it is they tried to fit too much into one episode. We learn a lot about Dexter and he even makes a breakthrough about himself with the help of the psychiatrist. Rita also comes to terms with her relationship with both her husband and Dexter. Her kids are now "happy" about Dad returning. The Ice Truck Killer is revealed. In the entire episode we sort of lose sight of the Dr. Meridian story and why he chose to encourage those successful women to kill themselves. I have a feeling there was a lot of film left on the cutting room floor from that episode. Maybe "Shrink Wrap" should have been a two parter in order to get all the stories out.

Oh yeah! Thanks for telling me what it was...
That was a really awesome episode! You're right... there was a lot going on in that one... Could've probably been split into two pretty easily...

The Dr. Meridian character was also the episode's director if I recall correctly (Tony Goldwyn, whom I remember from 'Ghost')... so maybe he felt like if anything hits the floor he'd rather it be his scenes? *shrug* I dunno

Seeing Red is my favourite, and I think it was pretty defining. We see a vulnerable side to Dexter and he passes out

Damn Showtime Too didn't record this week's episodes. I guess that means I will be renting the DVD's online. Do we have a street date for S2?

I actually know someone who worked in a very minor way on the "Shrink Wrap" episode (can't reveal who and it only involved this one episode). He said there was a major scene with Angel, Doakes and another guest character where Angel's marital problems somewhat ruin an interview with a suspect in the murder of the lady in the bathtub.

It was definite defining moment.... For some reason this ep creeped me out more than usual... I think it threw me off to see Dexter a bit off balance... but maybe I haven't pinpointed what it was exactly..

August 19th is the release date I'm familiar with I preordered w/ Amazon and that's the date they now have also (there for a while they didn't have it stated on their site).

Very cool!!! I would love to see more extra scenes (like that one), as well as goofs, blunders etc from the show... That would be hilarious!

Goofs, blunders and other cut scenes from Dexter would be great.

I only saw season 2 the one time but am looking forward to re-watching it when showtime starts to re-run those.
