The show did drop in quality in its later seasons the best were probably S1, 2 & 4. The only thing I really enjoyed well I don't know that enjoyed is the right word but found most compelling in the final seasons was the development of Dex and Deb's relationship.
I HATED the ending but not so much because of Dexter's ending as you could argue he didn't necessarily deserve a happy ending but because of what they did to Deb. Absolutely heartbreaking that was especially after everything she'd been through. |

it was a weird ending that felt tacked on. he should have just been dead because honestly there was no good ending for him.
even with his new job, was he still killing people? and frankly, leaving his son behind was the worst of it all. __________________

Leaving his son with Hannah as well! If Harrison should have been left with anyone it should have been Deb.
