Exactly-these are both shows in genres I don't normally watch that i just adore.
 I love that in The Crown it is about real people. I just loved doing research on the royal family after I watched episodes or in between episodes.I love the video you shared, Lindsay. It really captures the essence of Elizabeth and Margaret. Their bond- __________________

I read up about the Royal family too after watching the show. At least the events that happened on the show. I came in not really knowing a lot about the Royal family and by the end of the show, I kind of have this newfound respect for them and what they do. Especially Queen Elizabeth since she is born to be a leader so she didn't exactly have a choice and she couldn't say no too.

I love this series! Just finished watching the series, and it was a breathtaking portrayal by the entire cast.
Looking forward to season 2, and congrats on the nominations. Well deserved. __________________

I'm glad you enjoyed the show. Was the pacing a problem for you? I've heard some people complain about the pacing, that probably 10 eps is too much to tell for S1. For me, it wasn't a problem and I like the pacing of the show.

At least we know that Churchill will die so it's okay for John to leave but both Prince Philip & Queen Elizabeth are alive to this day so they will be in all seasons of this show. I look at this like Doctor Who where we get a new Doctor every 3 years. It's heartbreaking to see them leave but we'll probably end up loving who replaces Matt & Claire in S3.

I'm sure we will love who they get replaced with too, and it definitely makes it more realistic to have them age. It will just be bittersweet.
Yes, about Churchill dying. His SL and John's portrayal of him was my favorite part of season 1. I'll really miss him too. __________________

Karen, now that you mention it, we should probably hear some casting announcements soon but my guess would be early next year assuming S2 streams on NFLX in November (like S1).
I'm sure there will be some popular ones who will audition for these roles after all the buzz this show is getting plus award recognition too. __________________
