From Emmy Award-winning directors Joe and Anthony Russo (Arrested Development) comes Community, a smart comedy series about higher education – and lower expectations. The student body at Greendale Community College is made up of high-school losers, newly divorced housewives, and old people who want to keep their minds active. Jeff Winger (Joel McHale), a lawyer who has his degree revoked, goes back to college and forms a study group. Jeff and his fellow study group members, over time, learn more about themselves, as well as each other.

And I loved Jeff's facial expressions to everything he said, especially when he first attended his class.

The fact the characters' flaws are, for most part, intentional and acknowledged by the narrative helps making them likable. I just generally love when the writers manage to have a tone of loving/sympathetic mockery towards their own characters, which I think Dan&co did.

Yeah I loved that about this show.

For me Community is definitely one of those shows I don’t watch just for a character or a ship, but because I generally enjoy it a lot. That is not to say I was always super satisfied with everything, but the good far outweighed the bad. Some s5 eps and most s6 ones I found less enjoyable than the rest of the show, but they were still not super bad.

How about you guys? Were you generally fans of the show or enjoyed only certain aspects of it?
