I wasn't watching the aired ones, I got the DVD, so I'm fully caught up But I believe they are on 4x07. I decided to get the DVD after I heard PBS apparently cut out some Patsy/Delia scenes... Plus they skip the Christmas specials, so I would have had to buy it off iTunes....

Ah so you've seen the rest of S4? My favorite season is probably S4, I cried in almost all of the eps. The show is so underrated.

The series just gets better. Really loved the last one. I've heard chummy will be back again next season. While I have not missed her she always puts a smile on my face so I'm happy she is coming back

^ It does get better and better and like Lindsay said it is such a underrated show. It's not just a period drama, it oozes realism and how a mother does suffer and why anybody wouldn't want to embrace that is a real shame.
I am on S2 at the moment. With the couple Douglas and Ruby. When woman said to her "Your backside doesn't smell of roses" I'm sure she has some kind of envy towards her and Ruby replies. "You're right. It smells of Lavender" But then the baby was born with Spina Bifida and that's when I started crying especially when Ruby started to cry __________________

^ I've forgotten that ep already. It's been a while since I last watched S2.
Oh yay that Chummy will be back for S5, I like Miranda Hart and she was the reason I watched this show in the first place. Didn't stop me from watching when she left though, the show is good. __________________

^ Yes S2 is quite emotional, Lindsay.
Sister Monica Joan was explaining that when she was younger they let babies with Spina Bifida die peacefully after they have even born. because of the quite saddening and serious side effects. I felt so sorry for Ruby. All of the episodes really pull on my heart strings. Like, how can they not touch anyone like that? __________________

I agree. At first I was cautious watching this show but it's so written beautifully and the cast is wonderful. I need to re-watch that ep you mentioned, Vicki.

^ Rose, I've been watching the episodes on Netflix, so try and find it on there first. If not then I hope you can purchase the dvd's soon.

I agree, tissue box always ready whenever I watch episodes. S4 was the most unforgettable for me cause I literally cried at almost all the episodes. I remember crying every Monday evenings (when I finally watch the new eps over here) because of this show.

^ Rose, that's great and plus it's money well spent with this show. Let us know what you think during the rewatch

I think the abortion storyline cut me more because there are people out there who would love to have a child but can't or have lost one and you would do anything to have that precious gift. That's what touches me. I love when they focus on the characters individually. Never a dull moment in this show. I was thinking when I was watching it that in some parts this show would make a epic theatre play. __________________

I think my being so emotional about this show has to do with the era, the different situations the mothers are in, and just how terrible it has become for babies back then especially when mothers took a certain sleeping pill. If you watch it all now, we are all lucky to have the technology we have right now and the appropriate medicines to aid pregnant mothers. Also, there's no character that I hate on the show.

When my DVDs come, would anyone like to join me on this rewatch?
