I didn't cry. It was a good episode, though. I really felt for Sister Monica Joan. Eye operations freak me out too.

I'm not too keen on Monica's character.
I thought the double marriage storyline was good though. And the coal one. I know someone who wanted tarmac, so she went out at 1am to dig up a road near by that she knew had recently been done. |

I thought it was an okay ep, not my favorite.
So is that Trixie's "exit" on the show? Looks like Barbara & Tom are back next ep. I also felt for Sister Monica Joan's story as she's losing her eyesight. Tbh, it's expected of her age and my mom has cataracts and she's younger so Sister Monica Joan still has it better. I also like the double marriage SL as the 1st wife was kind of obligated to take care of the baby the 2nd wife (who was 15 years old ) was having. That kind of dynamic isn't 'normal' so it was interesting for me. __________________

I think that's polygamy? I don't understand that either but then I live in a Catholic country so that's not allowed. Though on this show, the 1st wife wasn't aware and I felt that the husband just kind of told her because 2nd wife is pregnant. And something else I can't wrap my brain around, pregnancy at that age.

Sadly that's been going on for a long time in countries, and still does in rural villages.
A muslim man can take up to another wife, sadly. And in those time, it happened alot and even at that age __________________

I enjoyed the episode. I really felt for the woman who was scared to give birth. They were all so kind to the man with leprosy, too which was nice to see.

Okay ep. Sad to see Trixie leave but Barbara & Tom arriving was also nice even though I don't really miss them.
The leprosy guy was so heartbreaking to watch. As always, Nurse Crane continues to be a favorite with her kind heart. I think any first time mother experiences a fear of giving birth but that mom has an extreme fear/phobia so that was interesting to watch. __________________
