I'm still sad about Vane but when a character I like goes out on their own terms, it makes their death much easier to take. Teach never became central to me so I wasn't as upset to lose him, although his death was brutal (but I wouldn't have minded Rogers getting the same treatment).
Flint was such a walking tragedy that I was preparing myself for his death from the start. I just figured they'd save it for the finale since Black Sails was essentially his story while Treasure Island isn't. So that was another pleasant surprise. __________________

If your fave has to die then I couldn't ask for a better way for that to happen than Vane's death!

I'm not so familiar with the books and only know a bit so I had to actually google keelhauling when Teach died. That ep was brutal to watch but effective. By the third time he was hauled under, we already know exactly what was going on underneath the boat. I actually wanted Rogers to die the same way too just cause he spearheaded Teach's torture. Although in S3, I already wanted Rogers to die.
