I don't have a problem with the historical inaccuracy, I actually think it was done quite well, and I like the changes, it's just that those red outfits and gambling tables were a bit over-the-top for me

But I read some fan reviews of the show where people were shocked and offended by some details.

I am absolutely loving the Robin/Marian scenes. Last season there was so much tension, which dont get me wrong, I loved, but now they are together and they're just so adorable when they finally have their little moments.
Yes, it was very different last season, and it really worked since Jonas and Lucy have amazing chemistry, but I'm glad they didn't prolong that kind of R/M relationship because it would lose it's charm after a while.
The conversations, looks and kisses we're getting this season are excellent!
Btw, I love seeing jealous Robin! It's so swet! And with Marian living in the castle with Guy and using her charm to gain his trust we're bound to get more jealousy on Robin's side!

And I just wanna pinch Will's cheeks, he's so cute
Me too! I hope he has a bigger role this season than he did the last..

I think he'll work with Gisbourne and the Sheriff, but hopefully he'll come back to Robin's gang...or rather if Robin will let him.
It just won't be the same without him there.

And I agree about the gambling episode. I thought it was all a bit much...but hey, it entertained me.

I don't know. I want him back! The Sheriff an Gisborne don't deserve him.
If they're clever they could use Allan like they do Marian, but, then again, I don't want him to be used. Pfft. So not ammused.

Will is great this season. Love Harry.

The gambling episode was a bit.... offkey. But I loved it for one simple reason; Dexter Fletcher!!

I liked the episode! Though Guy constantly irritates me to no end.

The previews for next week look awesome.

I love this show! I've only started watching it within the last two weeks but I've seen most of season one and 2x01, 2x05 and now last night's episode. I really liked last night's episode, although I was a little sad Guy and the Sheriff saved Marian from Lord Winchester at the end before Robin could get there (I love Robin/Marian)!

Will was lovely as usual, but I'm sad about Allan! I don't want him to work for the Sheriff!! Maybe he can start giving the gang info from the castle hehe - once they forgive him, that is. - I really hope they do forgive him in the end! I think they will, but I'm not completely sure. Maybe towards the end of the season.

^ I agree. I actually said that to one of my friends, when we were having a conversation about it.
Robin was a bit of an idiot to Allan, he didn't even listen to why he did it, an it wasn't like he told him anything overly important. Pfft.

I keep thinking though, I kinda liked Season One better. I don't know why. This one just seems to be going a bit crazy.

I was actually feeling sorry for him when he was desperately trying to save Marian! That was a first for me!
And boy I liked it when Richard took his shirt off!

But other than that, yeah, I like not liking Guy

The previews look very interesting! Can't wait for the ep!

I actually have a theory about this. I think it won't be long before Marian joins the gang in the forest. I mean, she's constantly in danger in the castle, Guy can't protect her anymore, and she'll get caught eventually if she countinues spying on the Sheriff. Therefore I think that as soon as her father dies (I kinda have the feeling it could happen soon, he didn't look that well in this week's episode), Robin will take Marian to the outlaws' camp for sure.
If that happens, Allan would be the perfect new spy for them inside the castle, thus proving his loyalty to Robin, gaining their trust and becoming part of the gang again.

I understand where you're coming from, but I think that this season, the stakes are higher than in the first one, especially for Robin. I also think it was a bit out of character for him to kill all the Black knights, not listen to Allan, and just leave the gang in the camp while he went alone to the castle to investigate.
But when you think about it, last season they were mostly fighting for Nottingham and the surrounding villages, and they were only fighting the Sheriff and his army. Now they're fighting for the whole of England and they're fighting against many more powerful people. In addition, last season, Marian was living at home, with her father and was safer than now when she's living in the castle with Guy always around her and her father in prison, while she's spying for Robin most of the time. To top it all, we all know how Robin feels about treason, and now one of his own betrayed him!
So, considering all of the above, I can understand Robin's behavior, although I hope it won't last much longer.

Last season was more lighthearted, which I liked so I hope they don't make this one the opposite. I'll wait to watch the whole season before I make up my mind about it.
Which reminds me... only 7 episodes left!

***

And some general thoughts...

Will was so cute making them all the instruments/weapons! And Little John with his bells!

Robin/Marian scene in the hallway (the one with the hairpin)!

Robin's letter to Marian!
