I watched this show a few months back. I loved it.

I loved watching shows in a row you know, the show's over but you start after and you have 5 season ahead of you, awesome.

I never saw the movie, but decide to watch the show then when the show end, I decide to watch the movie, but no wonder it was good, even tho they went different thing at the ending..

reason to believe

I can’t beleive anyone would watch Bates Motel without having seen the original movie. Watching the movie, makes you realize just how great this show was, especially Freddy Highmore’s handling the role of young Norman after Anthony Perkin’s performance in the movie and then seeing Mother come to life in the show, and just cause Psycho is a standard movie must see classic!

Yeah, of course that's why I even watched Bates Motel cause I was intrigued how it would be, like the preface to the movie, when later, we discover the writers had their own storyline. However, because I saw the movie, I recognized several homages to the film throughout, like recreations of certain camera angles . If you never saw the film, you'd have no clue you just saw an homage camera angle or dialogue or character reference
