Andy in the book knew Jacob killed Ben and was hiding it from everyone? On the show I feel like he didn't know and it was Laurie who believed Jacob did kill Ben.

Thanks for that article and I didn't know why they would go w/ open ending if they aren't plan to get S2.. It still stupid..

Yeah, he knew that Jacob killed Ben and same w/ Hope, but he denied it until at the trial, he started to realized that.. I think that Laurie refuse to believe that he killed Ben, but she acting like he's truly monster which that's why if he didn't go to jail, but Hope part was last straw for her and wanted to kill him..

Yeah I think it was Hope that really affected Laurie the most and finally made all of her doubts about Jacob come full circle. They really left everything open-ended because it wasn't clear that Jacob killed Ben and Hope was seen alive on the show. We'd understand the reason why Laurie wanted to commit suicide and also kill Jacob because Hope was the last straw for her. Although that thing with Jacob has been bugging her for sometime already as we see her having flashbacks to Jacob as a kid and looking at family photo albums. With Andy I believed him and also thought Jacob was innocent but with Laurie, I had doubts.

I would say mystery drama, but nothing too scary since this mainly focus on the daughter since she decided to find out what happened to her dad's friend who was missing and who killed him, but it was really good.. Plus all of the casts was actually good.. I surprise that you haven't see it.. Plus I read that they will have S2.. So that's good news..
