Well.. ideally, the show would have been best ending with the return of RDJr, but that was impossible. I guess another plausable ending could have been Ally going off to Michigan to be with Larry... but I suppose that would have taken away from the original premise of the show a bit -- a single gal lookin' for love in all the wrong places..

I do like how Ghost Billy made an appearance... and also the return of Renee and Georgia -- both of whom disappeared sort of without a trace, ala classic David E. Kelley...

Yeah, I know it wasn't possible, but I still think DEK could have made a better ending.

It was nice seeing old characters back although it seemed strange especially since Ally never mentioned Renee all of season 5.

I'm glad you like the title, I chose it because we left the previous thread with talking about Ally and Larry and I like the title of Meg Ryan's movie When Harry Met Sally...

Cute pic, groovyk1! I'm sure the DVDs will be released since the Ally show is very popular. But... when?

I'm also sure they'll be released eventually, but I dread all the music changes they'll probably make.

Man. To this day that pairing oozes chemistry for me. Though... I could have lived without Season 5. Season 5 was not so good... and it was good that the show ended when it did, and how it did.
I completely agree with you Mona. I thought they always left that possilbility open and I thought when they ended the show that Ally would never leave her law firm and I didn't like the premise she had with a daughter...Even a "single girl looking for love at wrong places" can wind up happy at the end. Did RDjr or Calista ever express what they thought about the A/L relantionship and the end of the show?

Anyway I'm posting these lyrics because I think they fit Ally and Larry's relantionship well.

Radford- How does it feel

Feelings I need, they don’t matter
You’re just a breath away, from me
Seeing we play, doesn’t change things
Still the crime scene, we made

I’ve got angels crashing over my head
They’re crying for the things you’ve said
So, how does it feel, to feel?
So, how does it feel, to feel?

City we breathe, isn’t changing
We’re just a step away, from home.
Laughter we need, doesn’t matter
If you don’t find yourself, leading your own

I’ve got angels crashing over my head
They’re crying for the things you’ve said
So how does it feel, to feel?
How does it feel, to feel?

Cause I don’t wanna come down
I know it’s probably to late
To fade... don't you want to give in?
This time it's ok

To Feel…
To Feel…
To Feel…
To Feel…

Na na na na na na na na na na na na na

To Feel…
To Feel…

I’ve got angels crashing over my head
They keep crying for the things you’ve said...
Now that you’re gone

I don't think I ever heard Calista or Robert talk about the ending, but Robert often said how much he liked the show.

Calista did say in an interview that Ally and Larry were going to get married. She said she read the script, and it was great.

Portia talked about the ending, and how she felt the fans who were loyal to the show deserved a better ending.

I can try but I'm not sure if I can remember names. But you're my "Josh Hartnett and Keanu Reeves buddy", so I think I will call you Kelly from now on.

I hope at least Calista will get married.

I'm glad that Calista and Harrison are still together. I remember when they first got together, and everyone said it wouldn't work out. Look at them now.

I'm really surprised myself but I'm happy for Harrison and Calista. They seem really happy together.

I'm not surprised. Calista has a son, and I'm sure she was looking for a good male role model for him. Harrison has kids of his own, so it's not such an unlikely pair. I don't know if they'll marry, but if that's what they want, cool.
