The Affair #1 - A Twist on Infidelity
Thought I would open a thread for Showtime's new series The Affair, which airs at 10pm on Sundays. I thought the series premiere was great and I loved the show's format of having different perspectives. Anyone else watching?

Guess this show didn't have much internet presence!
I can't say I liked it or hated it. The fact that it was 100% serious business all the time was a little off putting. Life does have some comedy to it damn it! Anyone else confused by the differences between Part one and part two of every episode? Sometimes two scenes which were supposed to be the same events transpiring were so different! All I can think is we don't have the whole truth because its all a he said/she said retelling of everything. I wanna know the truth. And, who would cheat on josh Jackson?! __________________

Yeah this show makes me think a ton about what other people think and see compared to me.

The show has tried to shake it up in the second season with a few more viewpoints
IMO it worked better with just Noah and Allison __________________

I think the best episode of this season was the first episode and that was with Noah and Helen's POV.
Alison and Noah's perspectives were too much in favor of themselves so I like having more antagonistic POVs. __________________

I really enjoy Helen's Point of View - she's a great character and Maura is a great actress. I really don't feel any sympathy for Noah
 I think Alison's perspective is actually really low of herself. She always looks so disheveled and she is so immersed in her depression. She has a lot of self-loathing and pain going on. __________________
