Accidentally On Purpose #1

Accidentally On Purpose
Mondays, 8:30, CBS
Accidentally on Purpose will follow Billie (Elfman), a San Francisco movie critic in her 30s, who gets pregnant after an affair with a man named Zack (Jon Foster) who is in his 20s. To make matters more complicated, Billie has decided to keep both her baby and her new beau. And on top of that, she just broke up with her boss, James, who wants to resume their relationship after being humiliated.

Thanks to this unexpected arrival, Billie and Zack have agreed to live together platonically. While Billie receives encouragement and advice from her party girl best friend Olivia and her conventional younger married sister Abby, she also has to deal with Zack's freeloading friend Davis, among others, when they start turning her place into a frat house, leaving Billie to question whether she's living with a boyfriend, a roommate, or if she just has a second child to raise.
CAST:
Jenna Elfman as Billie
Jon Foster as Zack
Ashley Jensen as Olivia
Nicolas Wright as Davis
Grant Show as James
Lennon Parham as Abby

Anyone else check it out?

I thought it had potential, and there were some cute moments

I just watched it and thought it was cute. I'm probably biased, though, because I adore Jenna Elfman (Dharma and Greg, anyone?) and Jon Foster.

Me too. I thought her last show was all right, and I like Jon Foster

Jon Foster is super charismatic and charming, for sure. I thought his character was really endearing and had a sort of innocence about him.

I can't watch it live, unfortunately, but I'll definitely continue to watch the new eps. as soon as I can. And yes, I quite liked it. Very cute, and light, and I could use some of that in my life right now, lol.

Wasn't a fan. Not recording it next week. Didn't grab me. Felt like I was watching a less funny version of Knocked Up, in that it was far tamer.

Are you a fan of Jenna Elfman, in general, Ken? Because I think the show pretty much hinges on that as of now. She's pretty much carrying it, but I always loved her, so I enjoyed it.

As for the Knocked Up comparison, I felt like more of the humor had to do with their age difference (which I found amusing), which Knocked Up didn't involve.

I liked the show. I thought it had cute moments. I laughed out loud a couple of times. But I also love Jon Foster, Jenna Elfman, and Grant Show. So I might be bias but I like the show. I am going to continue watching it.

I love Jenna and Jon, but the humor wasn't there for me.

I DVR every show I watch so I can skip commercials but I watched it around the same time it aired I like it so far. Hope it gets better, 'cause I did find some parts iffy, but it was only the pilot. So I'll stick around unless it really puts me off which it hasn't gotten close to doing yet.

Caught a promo for the next episode, thought it looked funny. Mistaking bologna for coasters

Episode 2: "Memento" September 28, 2009
While snooping through Zack's belongings Billie discovers a note addressed
to her that he never finished writing and sets out to find what Zack is hiding.

The promo was more interesting than the blurb, I think
