Scott has never comfortably tried to do the pack thing. He didn't want to be part of it in S1 either. I think the idea of having an alpha and not being able to live completely on his own terms, may be uncomfortable for him, even if it is Derek. He might have been more comfortable with it if Peter hadn't made it so stressful for him in the first season. Plus Derek didn't confide in Scott, and I think if he had, the situation might have ended a bit different. They both are great guys, but it was never going to be an easy situation.

Great collage graphic... Things could have gone another way if things had been a little different in S1, IA. Derek does need to learn to be more open with his pack.

I can't really blame Derek for not being open though, but I get why that in turn would make them not trust him. It's a hard situation. Scott rejection and Boyd/Erica leaving won't help Derek's issues with trust.

S3 they will definitely be tested with the new alpha pack on their territory, hopefully this brings them closer and they will learn to trust, share, and protect each other like a real pack.

I hope they can bridge some issues in S3 as well because I so want to see them be a proper pack but I also dont see how its going to happen, Scott not trusting Derek and visa versa in the last episode was just another setback.

 I want them to trust each other so badly, but I don't really see that happen soon though __________________
