That what I thought when I initially saw it. What, is it being speculated that he made Jackson do that to himself to distract people and Scott so that Stiles could get kidnapped?

yeah.... sometimes I think that they were showing us that Jackson might end up dying all season. Everyone kept talking about it, Derek even showed he was still maybe thinking about how to kill Jackson last night...

the show sometimes shows us what they are going to do all season and then come forward and do it and they fool us in that regard...

I just wish we had confirmation he was coming back.
