Hello! I'm sure many of you are fascinated
with the mythology of this show. Feel free
to address any theories or thoughts
about BATB's mythology here. :)

Thanks for getting this thread started

I'll have to think about this some more, but I really like the mythology aspect of the show, even if I would have liked more Muirfield storylines, or at least for Muirfield to be more connected to the mythology.

I loved when they started going back in season 2 to Cat's ancestors, and the very first beasts. I thought that was really interesting.

Yes, indeed. Tying Cat's ancestors into the present day story was very intriguing, but part of me wished Rebecca was Cat's great grandmother or whatever instead of great aunt, because then it would make you wonder if Cat had native beast blood inside of her. (I still have a theory that Rebecca did carry Alistair's child and gave the child to a sibling to raise because she feared for the child's safety if she were to keep him / her.)

What I would like to know is more about the gem. Sure, it suppresses beasts, but why? How? How did Rebecca obtain the gem and how did it end up in Kirk Windsor's possession?

I really wish the writers flushed this idea out more, but I'm glad, at least, they have continued to use the gem through the seasons with Gabe and Liam, and I hope they do use it again.

A part of me likes that there is SOMETHING out there that can suppress beasts. If it were used for good it could be helpful. Like maybe Vincent could carry it to not beast out when it wasn't necessary?

I would like to know more about the gem too, and why they don't use it more often.

Cool thread :D

:love:d how they brought that Rebecca was ancestor to Cat bringing it all round to destiny that Cat was meant to be connected to Vincent and to the world of beast :D she was following in Rebecca's footsteps

Gem  would have been cool if more was developed

I totally agree about Muirfield - more should have been explored with it

LOVED their story of Liam :thud: him being the first and he was immortal well until he died

Liam's storyline was one of my favourites, but it should have been explored more! He was supposed to be this incredibly strong beast, but they defeated him so easily

It really was so easily :lmao:

Same with Bob and Carol, but they hadn't been around for centuries

But they were so awesome :D

broken melody 07-09-2016 02:24 AM

They were, such an interesting couple!

Too bad it was so short of a time of them
