I mean the show was only renewed for 13 episodes and the same was done with HoD which turned out to be the final season.

That is true. I still feel they could have written the story out better even with the time constraints

I think so too, there was just too much going on. Liam should've been the focus, not the experiments.

They could have skipped a lot of the other experiments. There was one a week in the beginning. Maybe just Bob & Carol then go into what a threat Liam was. They spent too long making us think Julianna was the threat when there was a bigger threat than her

True, and Juliana turned out to be such a disappointment! We never really understood why Liam went after her in the first place, other than the fact she was the one who made him superhuman.

They could have shortened the wanting to capture Vincent alive so he could help defeat Liam part.

Because he wanted to be the only superhuman? And then once Julianna targeted him, he wanted her dead even more? But even then, why did he want to be superhuman? Bored of immortal life?

He already seemed pretty powerful and aside from wanting revenge on his family he didn't have anyone he wanted to defeat or anything..

He could have defeated anyone even without his superhuman part. I think he's just bored and power hungry.

Sigh if he was still alive he could be Vincent's frenemy
