Yeah, it wouldn't be mentioned so much if it didn't mean anything. Maybe it's related to his time with the Militia.

Unfortunately, we didn't get much MiNora last night... but we did get another mention of Nora being with Miles when he was commander of the Militia. I can't wait to find out just what all went down back then, especially between these two.

i am starting to wonder if Nora had anything to do with his choice to leave the militia? i can't remember if they already told us why he left the militia or not!

Emma, they kinda touched base on why Miles left the militia in the last episode... at least part of it was because it got to be too much for him, too much bloodshed, and he tried to kill Monroe but couldn't go through with it.
