HUG!!!

I was basically yelling at Charlie to hug Rachel. It's good that she did it.

The hug was so beautiful and emotional. But it was so heartbreaking to see Rachel in such a bad state.

And Rachel saved Bass for Charlie!

She deserved some love from her daughter.

What I love the most is that Charlie had no idea why Rachel suddenly starts to cry, but she hugs her mother anyway.

It was about time indeed. And this week they had a lot of development as well. Rachel almost killed Gene, but now she wants to get him back, partly for Charlie. And Charlie has been showing a lot of growth, which is great. I see Rachel learning a lot from her. I'm glad they're finally talking!

They had some great moments in this episode.

Rachel is really trying to show she cares about Charlie and wants to have a good relationship with her. And Charlie is showing that she is growing up and she's willing to try to understand her mother and forgive her, as hard as it is. Which makes it easier for her to give a chance to Gene.

When Rachel decides to help Gene, I think she's also influenced by what Charlie said. I like that, seeing Charlie acting as a moral compass. She's like that with basically everyone, but it's much better when it is with Rachel. And of course, I think Charlie's way of thinking helps, but ultimately Rachel's decision to help Gene happened because of Gene and his actions after he explained to Rachel and Charlie his motives for working with the Patriots.

I'm excited that we get to see them work together again outside of the town and more in the woods...we didn't get much of that last season.

It was really nice. Yeah, Rachel said it because she thought they were going to die, but that's the truth. It's good to finally see such a moment between them.

Yes, I like to see them working together. I wish Rachel would have gone after Gene, so Charlie would have gone with her too. Would love to see the two of them trying to help Gene. Just the two of them. It would have been a much better episode, actually. IMHO.

This whole thing about Rachel thinking Gene could be dead and wanting to fix her relationship with him made me think about Ben. Because Ben died in front of Charlie and she had an argument with him before he died. She had the chance to talk with him, but she was feeling guilty, hence her vision in episode 1x09. It's unbelievable that Rachel and Charlie never talked about Ben's death.

It is a great moment for them because of everything that happened. And it was Rachel that took the initiative, which makes it better yet.

But I prefer the hug. Because they both wanted to hug each other so much. Charlie was away during 4 months and they weren't on the best of terms, so the hug was a very meaningful and beautiful moment between them.

Not to mention that Rachel really needed a hug.

And I just love hugs.

I mean, I even ~~like the Rachel and Miles hug in the first episode of the second season~~.

I blame Liz for that.

She's a great hugger.

I really like that Rachel took the initiative. It makes sense. Rachel was an absent mother. She abandoned Charlie twice. She feels terrible for this. So if something bad happens and Rachel dies, she kind of wants to make sure her daughter knows she loves her.

^exactly, I'm glad they're finally bonding again and I hope they'll have more scenes together this coming second half
