Ok, guys, time to open the book club.
So, the first six chapters of Finally Found You are interesting. I think it is true, that Charlie falls for Bass kind of quickly. And he definitely seems more like S2 Bass far more than the General in S1. But I do like a lot of their interaction. I was kind of surprised Charlie shot that woman at the end of Chapter 3. Seemed a little OOC for her at that time. I did very much like that they talked about her brand...I love that and wish the show had caught up on that too. And all right, I got a little gushy over him giving her a bracelet. I also liked that Charlie was a damn fine soldier, so thanks to Miles for that. Though she did lose to Bass on purpose. And I wish he had called her on it. He probably would have known. And both of them sleeping with someone else. Oh well, I guess in the next set of chapters, we'll find out where this is going. So here's the order I grabbed: IceonFire7, wildirish, jamieizskye, LemonSupreme, Gizzi1213, mlreeve1, twilightfan14 wildirish you're up! Last edited by IceonFire7; 09-21-2014 at 07:46 PM |

I think they definitely fell in love quickly here. I almost couldn't figure out why it was happening. I think there were definite things the writer needed to address: like Bass' rather sudden OOC behavior for that particular time. He was rather psychotic to Charlie in that Strausser gun scene. But here he is overly protective when he sees his guards have manhandled her. So what created the change in the author's version of Bass? The convo w/ miles during their fight? Danny's death? Emma's? Because all of those things in the show pushed him further over the edge instead. Though he definitely still had the same arrogance with the line, "Because I don't have to explain myself to you." (Who else can hear DL saying that?) I liked Charlie saving Bass b/c normally he's always saving her. However, her killing that woman definitely felt OOC for me. Especially that early in their non-relationship whatever. Anyone else curious how and where Miles could hide in Philly for so long time around but before he couldn't? Lol. It's a sweet story, albeit with some inconsistencies especially character-wise. I like the premise of Charlie being in Independence Hall and them falling in love. There a couple of others who have a similar idea that I also enjoy. I've read this story before and I reread the whole thing again this week b/c it's a pretty easy read. Okay, that's it for me. Jamie is up. I think I'm going to call it a night b/c I'm not feeling well. Night ladies! I'll check back in for your comments. |
